The 30-Second Verdict

What people mean by “the white-label desktop app”: your clients logging in at app.youragency.com, seeing your logo and your colours, with no mention of GoHighLevel anywhere. Not a program they install, a branded web app on your own domain.

What it takes: a domain you control, a DNS record pointing a subdomain at HighLevel, and the agency branding settings. An afternoon, most of it waiting for DNS.

What it’s worth: this is the difference between reselling someone’s software and owning a platform. Clients who log into your app at your address don’t shop around for the tool underneath it.

Which Plan You Need

Plan Monthly Annual What it gives you
Starter $97 $970 3 client sub-accounts
Unlimited $297 $2,970 Unlimited sub-accounts, rebilling phone and email at cost
Agency Pro $497 $4,970 Everything above plus SaaS mode: selling the platform as your own product, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with a markup

Branding the login and the app under your domain is the visible half. Selling it as your own subscription is a separate thing, and that’s what Agency Pro’s SaaS mode adds. Plenty of agencies brand the app on Unlimited and bill clients for services rather than software; that’s a perfectly good business. We worked through the economics in what reselling GoHighLevel actually costs.

Setting It Up

The order matters, because DNS is the slow step and everything else is quick.

1. Pick the address first

Use a subdomain of the domain your clients already know: app.youragency.com, or portal, or hub. Avoid a brand-new domain nobody recognises, and avoid anything that hints at the platform underneath.

2. Point the subdomain at HighLevel

In your DNS provider, add the CNAME record exactly as HighLevel’s agency settings specify at the time you set it up. Don’t copy a record out of a blog post, including this one: the target has changed before and the current value is the one in your own account. Allow for propagation; usually minutes, occasionally hours.

3. Brand the app

In agency settings, set your logo, the favicon, your colours and the product name your clients will see. Check the login screen and the mobile view separately, because a logo sized for a wide header often looks wrong on a phone.

4. Check it as a client, not as the agency

This is the step people skip. Log in as a sub-account user in a private window and walk through what a client does: the login page, password reset, notification emails, the mobile app. Notification emails are the usual leak, because they’re sent from settings you haven’t touched yet.

5. Then decide about SaaS mode

If you intend to charge clients a monthly fee for the software itself, that’s Agency Pro, and it brings its own decisions: what you charge, what you include, and what you rebill for messages.

Where It Leaks, and What It Costs

Honest limits, because “100% white label” is marketing language:

  • Support. Branded app, branded emails, and now you are the support desk. Clients who can’t see the vendor’s name ask you instead. Price that into the retainer.
  • The mobile app. A branded mobile app is a separate offering with its own cost and its own approval process at the app stores. Check the current terms before promising a client an app with their name on it.
  • Messages still cost money. “Unlimited” covers sub-accounts, users and contacts, not SMS, calls or email, which are billed on usage. On Agency Pro you can rebill those to clients with a markup.
  • Documentation and training. Public help articles show the real product. If you white-label, you need your own short guides for the handful of things clients do.
  • It doesn’t hide everything forever. A determined client can work out what’s underneath. The point isn’t secrecy, it’s that your agency is the product they experience.

Final Verdict

Branding the app is the cheapest thing you can do to stop being a middleman. It costs an afternoon and no extra money on a plan you’re already paying for.

What to do in the 14-day trial: set up app.youragency.com, brand it, create one sub-account, and log in as that client in a private window. If the experience feels like your agency’s software rather than a tool you resell, you know what you’re buying. Start the GoHighLevel trial.
